Annaprashan ceremony is the Hindu ritual which is celebrated to introduce solid food to the baby for the first time. It is a very important ceremony for a family. Annaprashan literally means “eating of food”. The word Annaprashan is made up of two words first is “Anna” which means boiled rice or any other grain and second is “Prashan” which means feeding.
The ceremony is usually done for the boys in 6th, 8th, or 10th month after birth and for the girls, it is done in the 5th, 7th, 9th, or 11th month after the birth. The famous astrologer in Delhi is present to conduct the ceremony at the auspicious time chosen by him with chanting of Mantras. This ceremony represents the next step of the baby’s growth
