Raksha Bandhan is a very auspicious festival of India that is celebrated all over the world. This festival represents the bond between the sibling’s relationships. The word “Raksha” signifies protection and “Bandhan” signifies a knot. According to the Sanskrit terminology, this festival means “to tie or knot of protection”. The sisters apply roli teeka and akshara on her brother’s forehead and tie a rakhi on his wrist, do aarti, give sweets to them and pray for his good health, wealth, prosperity and better well-being and in return, brother promises to protect her from any kind of harm and to be there with her in any circumstance.
